Marianne - personal collection
Marianne is a retired teacher of English and started her writing career writing text books. She started writing about her travels after she had bought her first computer in mid 1990s. At first, she wrote in Dutch (she is Dutch), but discovered that writing in English was more rewarding as more people read English than Dutch. She is currently writing about Amsterdam for iStopOver Magazine.
Teachers have long holidays, and she has travelled all her life, starting in the 1960s hitching her way across the British Isles. You can now often find her in Prague where her son lives. She carries a notebook and a camera, her husband the luggage.
